7 ways you can $ave Money and reduce Energy Costs.
Savings that are More than "POCKET CHANGE"
#1. Switch to a lower cost Natural Gas Provider.
This could be a "Big Savings" for you. Many people I talk with are paying more than they need to for Natural Gas. Deregulation has created compitition in the Natural Gas industry and potentialy great savings for you..
I switched Natural Gas Providers and saved on my Home Energy Bill and it could be a benefit to you and people you know, as well. Just compare and lock in at the lowest rate and start saving. It's that simple. This could be a great money savings for you on your Home Energy Costs...
I'm also aware of a great opportunity, because of deregulation, where you can turn Energy into Income, and make money by helping people save on thier Home Energy Costs... To learn more call me at 770-377-1054

#2. Increase the insulation in your attic.
This is another "Big Bang for your Buck". Most homes, at best, have minimal attic insulation. For a few hundred dollars, increasing the insulation will immediately help reduce your heating/cooling cost and increase your comfort level. You may save enough from switching to a lower cost natural gas provider to pay for this. That could be a very easy win/win situation.

#3. Caulk widows and weather strip doors.
This is a low cost "Big Bang for your Buck". Most people don't realize the amount of heating and cooling loss that seeps through old caulking around windows and damaged weather stripping around doors.

#4. Service your electrical and gas appliances.
Your air conditioner, furnace and water heater should be serviced every year. If they are between 10-15 years old they should be considered for replacement. Newer unites require higher efficiency standards and be sure to use "Energy Star" rated appliances if you purchase a new one. Simply put, old units waste energy and there are Tax breaks for replacing them with some "Energy Star" rated units.
#5. Change your light bulbs.
Newer florescent bulbs last longer and use much less energy than standard incandescent bulbs. They are more expensive up front, but it saves you energy and money over time.
#6. Change air filters.
This one small item can drastically affect heating/cooling cost. Clogged air filters can affect not only cost, it can also affect and promote a host of additional problems. If you're using disposable filters, consider switching to a reusable filter. Again, pays for itself.
#7. Have a fireplace? Keep the chimney flue closed when not in use.
This is a no cost savings. Again most people don't realize the amount of heat loss that can shoot up the chimney stack if the flue is left open when the fireplace is not in use.
